Another essential piece of the boxed set, which can be purchased separately, is the accompanying book, Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary. The package is a beautiful, hardcover, album-sized book with a dust jacket, published by one of the leading publishers of personalized albums, Thames & Hudson.
The book consists primarily of intimate black-and-white photographs by Jill Furmanovsky of the band on tour in 1972, and was designed by the esteemed Hipgnosis design team of Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey "Po" Powell. Almost all of the photographs feature the band before, during and after shows on the tour, as well as many family members, friends and their band. There is a tour map, newspaper clippings and a replica of the original album and poster design.
